Adobe Illustator

I've been using Adobe Illustrator for about a month now. Adobe Illustrator has lots of fun features that don't take much effort to use. The tools, layers, backgrounds, gradients, etc, can take some getting used to. After a bit of getting used to the app, it is lots of fun and you can create amazing things. I am not an artist, nor have I ever been good at art, but Adobe definitely makes it lot easier to make abstract and fun art to show off to your friends.

The first silhouette is the very first creation I learned to do on Adobe, it was also one of my first projects. We did this by finding images of animals online, and cutting out the images using the "Curvature Tool" and the "Pen Tool." I found this quite tricky at first because my image kept disappearring. As soon as you figure out how to use the fill, and borders tool it is much easier. I think the best thing to learn first is how to use the colours, gradients, and fill. I had deleted much of my work because I didn't know how to use this feature. After some practice I got it down in no time. The second silhouette is the next project we did on Adobe. There is much more detail, colour, etc in the second image. At this point I could make a table, and have different layers, which helped a lot. The third image is a person silhouette, this one introduced me to the windows option. This was quite difficult to do and make look good, but in the end it turned out quite well.

The last image we were learning about how to reflect and transform the shape to have 4 of the same one.

For these images we were experimenting with the drawing tool.

For this next one I was using a website that gave me step by step instructions on how to make a certain pattern.

After this we started working on houses to eventually move onto a bigger project, still to do with houses. Which you can see on the right.
